Course Description

The Training of Trainers (ToT) program is intended to engage Learning and Development Officers or Head of Training units to coach new trainers that are less experienced with a particular topic or skill, or with training overall. A ToT program can build a pool of competent instructors or trainers who can then impact the knowledge to other people.

Participants will be capacitated by an experienced trainer, complete the exercises, and then practice training aspects during and after the training program.

Target Group(s)

This practical training has been specifically developed to enhance the performance of staff members such as: Training Officer, Training Managers, Training Facilitators, Learning and Development Practitioners, those in teaching and those who wants to gain knowledge in training profession.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:

• Develop an understanding of how people learn
• Develop effective training programs
• Prepare and deliver training programs
• Explore key concepts in training adults in the workplace
• Explore the role of position analysis in defining a training program
• Present practical methods for planning and implementing on-the-job training
• Recognise the different program evaluation methods and learner assessment

There are no prerequisites to take this course.

Programme Design
This five-day workshop is designed to deliver a holistic view of Training of Trainers.

Certification
Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the workshop.
