Graphic Design and Web Development Certification (Evening Class)

Course Description

This course prepares participants that would like to pursue a career in Graphics and Web Design. Graphic Design professionals work alongside marketing, advertising and media teams, using their skills in visual communication to market products, thereby maximising profit growth for the client’s business.

Target Group(s)

Those that would like to pursue a career in graphic designing with a minimum of grade 12 certificate and those that have minimum of one (1) year work experience in the industry and have no formal graphics design qualifications. This course offers excellent preparation for International certification examinations.

Programme Objectives

The purpose of this qualification is to prepare students/participants for the real world of graphic design and web development starting from basic to advanced graphics and web programming techniques using the latest technology.

Entry Requirements

This course is designed for individuals with a minimum of a Grade 12 certificate and should have a good command of the English language with basic computer user skills.

Programme Design

This programme is comprised of 7 modules and classes will be offered 4 times a week from 17h30 – 19h30 over a period of 3 months. Modules: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, Dreamweaver, XHTML, CSS, Website creation using Content Management Systems (CMS).

Certification

An international Accredited Certificate will be issued upon successful completion of each module as well as a Certificate of Completion from the Namibia University of Science and Technology.
